Follow the trail to the base of the waterfall, all your stress will melt away in the thermal hot springs, and go bliss out on the beach !

Day 1 : San Jose / Poas Volcano

This tour is the perfect one to begin your trip in Costa Rica. You will discover the Doka Coffee plantation, the amazing Poas Volcano with its lagoon and the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. You will get to see Costa Ricas’s wildlife and hike through the jungle and to finally discover two huge waterfalls.

This full day tour includes roundtrip transportation, bilingual guide, all entrance fees, breakfast and lunch.

Night in San Jose 


Day 2 : San Jose / Tortuguero

You will be leaving San José early in the morning to discover the wonderful canals of Tortuguero, which is full of spectacular nature and wildlife.

On the way to Tortuguero you will stop at a banana plantation. Then you will take a boat ride through water canals to reach Tortuguero. Here you will begin your adventure in Tortuguero National Park.

This overnight trip includes roundtrip transportation, bilingual guide and all meals.


Day 3 : Tortuguero / La Fortuna

Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet to start your day. After another boat trip in the canals, you will embark on a guided walk into the jungle trails of the Tortuguero National Park. You will then enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterwards you will be on your way to La Fortuna. This is where you will be able to experience the exceptional Arenal Volcano.

Day 4 : La Fortuna

Suggestion for your free morning

Take a taxi ($5 approximately) to go visit La Fortuna Waterfalls ($10 per person for Park entrance)

Excursion in the afternoon

You will take a guided nature walk through the jungle over a hanging bridge to a waterfall that you can jump off of and swim in. You will then visit the Arenal Volcano Observatory Lodge to enjoy the panoramic views of the Volcano and its lake.

In the evening, you will go to the Baldi Hot Springs where you will able to relax and enjoy their many pools in an idyllic setting.

The half day tour includes roundtrip transportation, bilingual guide,  all entrance fees and dinner.

Night in La Fortuna

Day 5  La Fortuna / Monteverde - Jeep-Boat-Jeep

In the morning, a shuttle will pick you up at your Hotel and will take you to Arenal’s lake where a boat will be waiting for you. You will cross the lake and take another shuttle on the other side that will drop you off at your Hotel in Monteverde.

In the afternoon, you will explore the cloud forest through the hanging bridges.

At sunset,  enjoy a walk of 2 hours through the forest that will allow you to learn more about the nocturnal wildlife.

Night in Monteverde 

Day 6 Monteverde / Manuel Antonio

Early in the morning you will re-explore the cloud forest but this time from a very different angle.

Get your adrenaline pumping with the canopy tour! While learning about nature, you will also live a great adventure zip-lining from tree to tree !

In the afternoon transfer to Manuel Antonio on the Pacific coast
Day 7 Manuel Antonio

You will be spending your last day relaxing on a heavenly beach surrounded by monkeys and tropical forest! This free day will give you some time to explore the Manuel Antonio National Park (open from 8am to 4pm, closed on Mondays, $10/ person entrance). Inside the National Park you can go hiking and get to see many animals and then take a rest on the white sand beach.

Day 8 Manuel Antonio / San Jose

Back to San Jose by local bus ($8/pers)
